LAFC vs Colorado Rapids: times, how to watch on TV, stream online |

After a month-long hiatus for the Leagues Cup, MLS is back for the thrilling climax of the 2023 season.

LAFC get their domestic campaign back underway with the visit of the Colorado Rapids, who currently sit bottom of the Western Conference.

On paper this should be a comfortable victory for the Falcons, but we have already seen teams spring a surprise after the mid-season break. Supporters Shield leaders FC Cincinnati were beaten 3-0 by Columbus in their first fixture back.

LAFC go into the game as favourites but they have been on a poor run of form in MLS. They won just once in their last six pre-Leagues Cup fixtures. However they are boosted by the arrival of Spanish striker Mario González, who arrives from Portuguese side Braga.

For the Colorado Rapids this is something of a free hit and head coach Robin Fraser will see it as a chance to kick-start their MLS campaign against the MLS Cup holders.

LAFC vs Colorado prediction

The two-week break makes this a little harder to predict than a typical matchday, with the potential a freak result all the more likely. LAFC’s loss to Monterrey was a disappointment but they were on top form earlier in the tournament, scoring 11 goals in their previous two games.

After two weeks on the training ground, Steve Cherundolo should have his team back to their best and we expect a comfortable win for the Falcons at BMO Stadium.

Prediction: LAFC 3-1 Colorado
